Alla Gelich will recite two poems by Simonov. David Matthews will read his and Lyudmila Matthews' translation of Paustovsky's “Rainy Dawn”.
Songs will be sung by Lila Moshtael, with piano accompaniment by Nadia Giliova.
All musical arrangements are by Nadia Giliova. Translations of the songs, by David and Lyudmila Matthews, available on the door.
All three components of the Evening – stories, poems and songs - were written and composed during the Second World War, when people separated from their loved ones dreamt of Victory as the only means to see them again.
