RUSSIAN FILM WEEK: SCREENING AND TALK WITH RENATA LITVINOVA

Screening of Joseph’s Dreams, directed by Renata Litvinova followed by a talk on her new project: 'Petersburg. A Selfie.'

Renata Litvinova is a well-known Russian actress, director and screenwriter. She was discovered by fellow director Kira Muratova, who cast Renata in one of her films and allowed her to write a part for herself. Renata gained popularity after transitioning from screenwriter to actress, starring in all of the films she scripted. Litvinova became acclaimed in the 2000s when she was nominated for several awards for her roles in “Sky. Plane. Girl”, “The Tuner” and “I’m Not Hurt”. In 2000 she made her directorial debut. 

A glass of wine and snacks (provided by Vatrushka Cafe) are included in the ticket price.

Russian Film Week Festival runs from 30 November - 4 December 2016. The programme consists of daily screenings at the Regents Street Cinema with auxiliary events at other venues, drawing to a close with the Golden Unicorn Awards Charity Gala to raise funds for Gift of Life UK.
