COMEDY NIGHT: PUSHKIN HOUSE WOMEN'S STAND-UP

Friday night stand-up comedy with a Russian flavour at Pushkin House: come and have a drink and enjoy Svetlana, the oligarch's wife, the Creative Tornado, and the Queen of Cabaret! For one night only a dazzling and electric combination of international award-winning comediennes: Laura Bodell , Anna Fishbeyn and Aliona Muchinskaya.  Mostly in English, followed by drinks. 

7pm doors open and bar; 7.30pm show; 8.30pm drinks; 9.30pm close.


Billionairess, society hostess and fashion icon, Svetlana the Oligarch's Wife is Britain's only Knightsbridge-based Russian comedian. Winner of several major international comedy awards (all sponsored by her husband) including the Prince Andrew Award for comedians from oil-producing countries. Her fascinating and hilarious observations of life inside the ultra-secretive world of the super-rich, tips on how to get rich quick while minimising jail time and her unforgettable singing voice, mean she is fast building a reputation as one of the most unique and bitingly satirical character acts on the UK comedy scene. 

 Aliona Muchinskaya  is the 'Creative Tornado' (Moscow Times) and 'Russian Party Queen' (Evening Standard) founder of Red Square PR.  Previously foreign correspondent in London for Moskovsky Komsomolets (MK), one of Russia's biggest newspapers, she then worked with Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman on their Long Way Round trip, chaperoned Paul McCartney on his Moscow tour and acted as the Head of London Office for Mikhail Gorbachev for his 80th  Birthday Celebrations at the Royal Albert Hall.  She has since joinedQuintessentially Lifestyle’s London HQ in a newly created role following a staggering increase in Russian Members, clients and partners. 

Anna Fishbeyn is an actor, writer, filmmaker and producer. Her play, My Stubborn Tongue, played off-Broadway at the New Ohio Theatre, NY, United Solo Festival Theatre Row, NY, Ensemble Studio Theatre, NY, Russian Diaspora and Israeli Film Festival, NY, and Soho Theatre, London.  The Huffington Post called My Stubborn Tongue a “wild ride…an insightful entertaining show” and said "Anna has triumphed.”  The play was featured on Radio Gorgeous, UK, recommended by The London Standard, and described as “brilliant…4 Stars” by the Female Arts, UK.  Anna Fishbeyn’s first play, Sex in Mommyville, was called “comic genius,” by WCBS Radio, recommended by Bloomberg News, compared to Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” by Jewish Week, and described as “shattering all the myths around women” by the Huffington Post.  Anna also created and wrote Happy Hour Feminism (dir. Adrian Roman). For her work on Happy Hour Feminism, Anna has won for Best Leading Actress, Best Screen Writer, Best Web Series, and Women Filmmakers. The web series has been nominated for Best Television Pilot, Best Comedy, and Best New Media and has been an official selection at over 11 Film Festivals.
