TALK: TATIANA SHCHERBINA: CENSORSHIP AND SELF-CENSORSHIP IN THE USSR AND IN RUSSIA TODAY

Tatiana Shcherbina is a poet, writer and translator of French poetry. She graduated from Moscow University in 1991 and from 1991 until 1995 she lived in Munich and Paris while working for Radio Liberty. She is the author of six collections of poetry and many novels. Her works have been translated into many European languages and she is a  Laureate of the French National Literature Centre (1994). In the chair this evening: Professor Emerita Valentina Polukhina of Keele University.

The talk will be in Russian but consecutive interpretation into English.
