Graphic designers working in the midst of the UK YBA scene, ten years ago Fuel began publishing some of the most cutting edge books being produced about Russia, starting with Russian Criminal Tattoo books. 

Fuel has worked with some of the most interesting collectors, art critics, sociologists, historians and outsider artists in Russia today. 

Fuel's Russian-themed publications, many of which have won awards, include: Notes from Russia, Soviet bus stops, Russian Criminal Tattoo Vols I,II,III. Drawings from the Gulag, Home Made (contemporary Russian folk artefacts), Notes from Russia, CCCP Cook Book, Russian Criminal Tattoo Police Files, and Soviet Space Dogs. In English.
