Russian Film Week : The Last Waltz

The Last Waltz
2017 (Duration: 80min)
Story: Oleg Karavaichuk
Script and Director: Julia Bobkova

This film is about Oleg Karavaichuk, an eccentric musical genius and famous St. Petersburg composer, who takes his final stroll through Komarovo, a bay-side summer community just outside St. Petersburg, where he spent his whole life and wrote most of his works. His final piece, “The Komarovo Waltz”, unveiled in this film for the very first time, was written as a tribute to this place. This film is Karavaichuk’s farewell and last address to his audience.

Followed by Q&A with Julia Bobkova.
