ZIMA Supper Club : History of Food after the Revolution with Alexei Zimin

Join us for an evening of Soviet cuisine in collaboration with Zima Restaurant and celebrated chef Alexei Zimin.

Enjoy a seven-course meal of dishes recreated from the Soviet period including the revolutionary period, NEP and thereafter - all made with the best possible ingredients of today.

The dinner will be served in our beautiful main room and Alexei will perform a cooking demonstration while you eat and talk about the food, its history and the renewed interest in these dishes today when it is becoming evident that many celebrated Soviet recipes have their roots in the pre-revolutionary period.

In English and Russian.

ZIMA -Russian Street Food and Bar, is the first overseas project of one of Russia's foremost chefs, Alexei Zimin, who after training at Le Cordon Bleu has been credited with modernising the way Russians eat...

He has invented a new concept with "Russian street food" for the cosmoplitan palate of London combining classic ingredients from all over his vast homeland (such as sturgeon, venison and, of course, caviar) serving them as an array of modernised tapas style creations. The drinks are equally well considered with a selection of home-infused flavoured vodkas to complement the dishes along with an extensive wine (and vodka) list and the obligatory cocktails to quench the after work thirst.

Situated in the heart of Soho's theatre land it is an urban retreat ripe for lunch, dinner or an evening aperitif on the terrace.
