As part of the Bloomsbury Festival, Pushkin House has the pleasure of introducing Brigitte Subkov a talented young pianist from St. Petersburg. She will be giving a commemorative piano recital on the theme of Composers in Exile as part of our series of events marking the Centenary of the Russian revolution.

Brigitte Subkov has been classically trained at the Royal College of Music since 2015, under Professor Nigel Clayton and Professor Andrew Zolinsky. She also spent two years in Switzerland with Adrian Oetiker, Professor of Piano at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. Being in the spotlight since a young age, she was announced winner of numerous competitions including the ‘National Competition for Young Musicians’ in Germany in 2003. Brigitte now performs solo piano recitals internationally, including private events for Roche – Hoffman, worked as a director of a musical and is planning a new theatre project called ‘Pretty Women’ opening in September 2017 in Switzerland. Brigitte was featured in Tatler UK as a modernclassical-popular crossover pianist, artist and fashionista.
During the recital, Brigitte will introduce the played works of Scriabin, Prokofiev and Rachmaninov in more detail.
Brigitte would like to share this revolutionary love affair with you and take you on a journey with the music reflecting on the promise of the revolution, the revolution itself and its after effect.
This concert will run for approximately duration of 70 mins.
There will be a wine reception and an opportunity to meet Brigitte after the concert.
