A rare opportunity to attend a master class given by Tatiana Sarkissova, Professor of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music. Recognised as one of the most distinguished exponents of the Moscow school of piano playing. Tatiana is in a constant demand as a teacher, she has been Professor of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music since 1993. The master class will take the form of Professor Sarkissova working through short pieces of Russian works for piano with three students from leading conservatories of music.

Tatiana Sarkissova is among the most distinguished exponents of the Moscow school of piano playing. She started playing at the age of six. After graduating from Gnessins Music School she studied at the Moscow Conservatoire with eminent pianist and music pedagogue Dmitri Bashkirov, after which she embarked upon an international concert career, playing both solo recitals and performing with a number of orchestras.
She is an experienced chamber musician whose repertoire include all major works written for piano and chamber ensembles. She has performed and recorded with many artists of international acclaim, toured Russia, Eastern and Western Europe and the USA, and has taken part in international music festivals in Germany, France, UK, Italy, Finland and Sweden.
Tatiana is in a constant demand as a teacher and has been Professor of Piano at the Royal Academy of Music since 1993. She also regularly gives masterclasses in many European countries. Among her students are prizewinners of International Piano competitions.
Dmitry Kalashnikov was born in Russia, Moscow. From the age of five, he started to study piano at the Gnessin school in the class of Ada Traub, then in the class of Tatyana Vorobieva. In 2017 he graduated with honors from the Moscow Conservatory, class of Professor Elena Kuznetsova.
Dmitry performed in some of the best music halls worldwide: Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Moscow’s House of Music, Mariinsky Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, Wigmore Hall in London. He regularly performs with the Russian National Orchestra under the direction of Mikhail Pletnev.
He participated in Mariinsky International piano festival ‘Faces of modern pianism’ twice and in 2018 played with the Mariinsky Orchestra. Dmitry has won the President of Russia's Award and the Moscow Government Prize. In November 2019, Dmitry won the First Prize at thee Jacques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition First prize at the Les Etoiles Du Piano piano competition in France.
Currently, Dmitrii Kalashnikov is a student of the Royal College of Music (class of Professor Vanessa Latarche). His status there as a Ruth West Scholar is supported by the Neville Wathen Scholarship.
As an internationally sought-after performer, Damir Durmanovic has performed in venues and festivals including the Wigmore Hall, Champs Hill Studios, YPF Festival Amsterdam, Wimbledon Music Festival, Renia Sofia Audotorium Madrid, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Derby Multifaith Center, Flusserei Flums, 'Ballenlager' Vaduz. He has won prizes in numerous international competitions, including the Beethoven Intercollegiate Junior Competition in London, Adilia Alieva International Piano Competition in Geneva and Isidor Bajic International Piano Competition in Novi Sad.
He has performed in masterclasses with Claudio Martinez-Mehner, Dmitri Bashkirov, Pascal Devoyon, Jacques Rouvier, Robert Levin, Jean-Bernard Pommier, and with chamber ensembles such as the Emerson Quartet. Damir is also a scholar at the ‘Musikakademie Liechtestein’ and participates annually in the courses offered by the Academy.
Damir began his studies at the age of eight with Maja Azabagic before commencing his studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School where he studied with professor Marcel Baudet.
Damir is an ABRSM scholar and is currently studying at the Royal College of Music with professor Dmitri Alexeev.
Dilyan Todorov made his UK debut at the age of 16 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Whitgift Chamber Orchestra. Since then he has performed in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Fairfield Halls, Barbican Centre, Millenium Centre and others. Outside the UK he has performed in Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and the USA. Dilyan has won prizes in many competitions including First Prize at the 18th International Competition ‘Hopes, Talents, Masters’, Third Prize at the 8th International Franz Schubert Competition and Third Prize at the First International Piano Competition ‘Mme. Rosina Lhevinne’ . He has taken part in masterclasses with many distinguished pianists such as Dmitri Bashkirov, Dmitri Alexeev, Janina Fialkowska and Robert Levin.
Dilyan is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama tutored by Head of Keyboard Ronan O’Hora and Peter Bithell.
