The film tells the story of the tragic life of the actor Dmitry Konsovskiy. He was arrested on the night of December 2 of the year 1934. He found himself imprisoned in Butyrskaya jail, just a couple of hours after he had finished discussing with Abram Room his performance in the main scene of the movie “Strogiy yunosha” (“A Strict Young Man”). Konsovskyi had a short life, but managed to direct a play in Vakhtangov theatre and to perform in eleven movies. Many of them have become classics of Soviet cinema (“Desertir”/ “Deserter” by Vsevolod Pudovkin, “Zemlya zhazhdet” / “The Earth Thirsts” by Yuly Raizman, “Vosstanie rybakov” / “Revolt of the Fishermen” by Erwin Piskator). His brother, actor Alexey Konsovskyi (the prince in “Zolushka” / “Cinderella,” Lermontov in “Lermontov,” the magician in “Obyknovennoe chudo” / “Ordinary Miracle”), who died in 1991, failed to receive a permission to familiarize himself with his brother’s trial case and never got to know his last words. Today, seventy years later, Nikolay Vershinin-Konsovskyi, the grandson of Alexey Konsovsky, reveals this dramatic story.

Sergei Kachkin is a graduate from Marina Razbezhkina's School of Documentary Film and Theatre. Since 2006 he has worked as a director, producer and cinematographer of documentaries. He is head of the project department of the Moscow Co-Productions Forum Moscow Business Square (since 2011), which was held in the framework of the Moscow International Film Festival. The organizer of an educational seminar in Perm Flahertiana ADA Workshop. The premiere of his first feature film On the way home was held at the Krakow Film Festival in 2012. Subsequently, the film was shown on dozens of TV channels in the world. In 2016 he completed his latest film Perm-36. Reflection, which was shown at Pushkin House in 2018.
Anna Bulgakova graduated from the Independent Cinema and Television school, Live action Faculty, heads of department Vladimir Khotinenko and Vladimir Fenchenko. In 2005 she graduated from the All Russia Institute of Cinematography, Documentary Film Producing Department, class of Maria Babak and Victor Mann. Documentary filmmaker. Author of films: “Don Quixote Mesherskiy”(2004), “Big and small Dutch people” (2004), “Before the war I was little yet” (2007). Second director of “Vdokh-Vydokh” by Ivan Dykhovichny. Organizer of Museum films display in Memorial – Russian historical and civil rights society. Author of the script “Magic Komsomolets. Фильм рассказывает о трагической истории жизни Дмитрия Консовского, вахтанговце, актере киностудии «Межрабпомфильм», и его младшем брате артисте Алексее Консовском, одного из ведущих актёров театра Моссовета. Дмитрий Анатольевич Консовский прожил короткую жизнь. Но успел поставить спектакль в театре Вахтангова, сняться в 11 фильмах, многие из которых вошли в золотой фонд отечественной кинемантографии. Среди них «Дезертир» Вс. Пудовкина, «Земля жаждет» Ю. Райзмана, «Восстание рыбаков» Э. Пискатора. Последней ролью Дмитрия Консовского стал Гриша Фокин, «Строгий юноша» режиссера Абрама Роома. На этих съемках он был арестован в 1934 году.
Булгакова Анна - окончила Независимую школу кино и телевидения в 2000 году, факультет игрового кино, мастерская Владимира Хотиненко и Владимира Фенченко. В 2005 году окончила ВГИК факультет режиссуры документального кино (мастерская Виктора Мана, Марины Бабак). Режиссер – документалист. Автор фильмов «Дон Кихот Мещерский" (2004); «Большие - малые голландцы» (2004) «До войны я был маленьким» (2007) Второй режиссер фильма «Вдох-Выдох» Ивана Дыховичного – ООО кинокомпания «Д-фильм». С 2010 года научный сотрудник Государственного центрального музея кино. В тандеме с Анной Кукес организует и ведет показы Музея кино "Документальная среда" в Международном обществе “Мемориал”. Автор сценария "Волшебный комсомолец.
