Nikita Lukinov in Recital

Multiple prize winner of international competitions, pianist Nikita Lukinov makes his Pushkin House debut, playing some of the best works by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Scriabin.

A disciple of the Russian piano school Nikita Lukinov started his musical education with Svetlana Semenkova, an alumna of Dmitry Bashkirov, at the age of six in Voronezh. Nikita’s early public success was a Grand-Prix at the 2010 International Shostakovich Piano Competition for Youth in Moscow. This led to his debut with a symphonic orchestra at the age of 11. Other achievements included 1st Prize in the Inter-Russian piano competition for young pianists, being a finalist of the International Television Competition for young musicians “Nutcracker”, 1st Prize in the All-Russian Concerto competition, where he performed Chopin’s First Piano Concerto. After studying in Russia Nikita won a full scholarship to continue his education at The Purcell School with Tatiana Sarkissova. Since 2017 Nikita has been a full scholarship recipient at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he is pursuing his BMus Degree studying with Petras Geniušas, an alumnus of Vera Gornostaeva.

Nikita has performed at Wigmore Hall (London), Kings Place (London), Fazioli Hall (Italy), St. Petersburg’s Music House, The Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Vaduz Rathaussaal (Liechtenstein). Nikita is a recipient of a personal scholarship from the Voronezh state government ‘for outstanding cultural achievements’, from the National Artist of Russia Vladimir Ovchinnikov and a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein. Nikita is one of the musicians on the Talent Unlimited scheme in London. Nikita’s most recent awards include 1st Prize in the All-Russian Competition ‘Musical Talents of Russia’ (2020); 2nd place at the Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition, Spain (2021); Gran-Prix at the First International Online Competition of music and arts ‘Tokyo Stars’, Japan (2021). In 2020 Nikita was appointed an ‘Emissary of the Muses’ of San Antonio, State of Texas. In Summer 2021 he was participant at the prestigious Verbier Festival in Switzerland.
