To continue Pushkin House’s celebration of Alexander Scriabin’s 150th birthday, we are proud to present a concert of his works performed by Galina Umanskaya.
The concert will present Scriabin’s piano oeuvres from throughout his short musical career. These works showcase the ambiguity of his style and ideas, and his musical evolution over time.
The programme includes selected piano works and an interactive presentation illustrating the composer's creative path.
Pushkin House hosts a chamber music concert offering a dreamy meditation on the theme of Winter and the start of a new year through the works of three contemporary composers — Valentin Silvestrov (b. 1937, Kyiv), Sergei Zagny (b. 1960, Moscow) and Georgs Pelēcis (b. 1947, Riga).
Pupils from the London Russian Music Academy play works by Russian and Soviet composers. The programme will include works for solo piano, songs, as well as chamber music.

A special celebration concert of music by the acclaimed Russian-British composer Vladislav Shoot who celebrated his 80th birthday earlier this year. This is a live concert with an audience and will take place at St. George’s Church, Bloomsbury.
Bosnian pianist Damir Durmanovic presents 24 preludes by neglected Russian composer Felix Blumenfeld (1863-1931). Most famous as a Horowitz’s piano teacher, Blumenfeld was also a prominent conductor. As a composer he was close to the ‘Belyayev Circle’ and influenced by Chopin.
Pushkin House is delighted to reopen our Music Salon series with a programme of works by Russian and Soviet composers performed by pianist Yulia Chaplina and cellist Bartholomew LaFollette. The concert is part of the 2nd London Prokofiev Festival.
