Join us for the opening of Ruth Maclennan’s A Forest Tale, premiering the artist’s latest film in the UK. Consisting of several different narratives, the film portrays the complex world of the sub-arctic boreal forests of Russia, which serves as both a habitat and a source of life for a large and diverse community of people.

Join us for the opening of Acting Out, the first solo UK exhibition by Russian artist Pavel Otdelnov. Acting Out is a new series of works that are being created specifically for Pushkin House’s historic premises in Bloomsbury. Otdelnov’s paintings present a critical commentary on the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe associated with the war in Ukraine, reflecting on how the identities of the Russian people are changing throughout the course of the war in Ukraine – both those who remain in the country and those who have managed to leave.

Still Happening is an art project initiated by Masha Vainshtein with the support of Kupfer and Pushkin House. Its aim is to raise funds and support Ukrainian artists by bringing together artworks by Ukrainian and Russian creators. The name Still Happening brings the attention of a distanced public to the fact that the horror of the war is far from over.
